Arsenal’s trip to Old Trafford was another test of their title credentials.
With the Premier League season nearing its conclusion, every point matters.
A win against Manchester United would have been a big statement, but instead, the game ended in frustration.
Bruno Fernandes put United ahead with a well-taken free kick.
Arsenal responded through Declan Rice, who found the net to level the score.
David Raya also played a key role, making crucial saves to keep his team in the game.
But for Arsenal, a draw was not enough.
In a title race, every dropped point feels like a missed opportunity.
With Liverpool now 15 points clear at the top, all they need is 16 points from their remaining 9 games to clinch their second Premier League title in five years.
Mikel Arteta responds to title over question
After the game, Mikel Arteta was asked about Arsenal’s chances of winning the league.
His response showed his frustration.
“I don’t want to say that, but today the frustration is that we haven’t won our game,” he said, making it clear that the focus was on the result, not the title race.
He admitted that the team understands the pressure at this stage of the season.
“We know the urgency, and you are all obligated to win every single match if you want to have any chance of doing that.”
Arteta, however, did not want to entertain title race discussions at that moment.
“I don’t think it’s the right moment to talk about that anyway,” he added.
For Arsenal, the draw at Old Trafford was a setback.
But with games still to play, Arteta knows his team must stay focused.
