The Denver Nuggets faced a tough challenge against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night, ultimately falling 127-103 in a game that slipped away in the fourth quarter.
Despite the loss, the Nuggets remain in a strong position with a 41-23 record, sitting near the top of the Western Conference standings. Nikola Jokic, as usual, was a key contributor, finishing with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists.
The game itself was a tale of two halves. The Nuggets started strong, building an early lead behind solid defense and contributions from Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray.
However, the Thunder, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 40-point performance, surged in the second half, outscoring Denver 41-23 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
However, concerns arose during the game when Jokic appeared to injure his elbow after a hard fall late in the first quarter against Isaiah Hartenstein.

Michael Malone offers Nikola Jokic update
Jokic, who briefly showed signs of discomfort, stayed in the game and continued to play at a high level.
After the game, head coach Michael Malone addressed the situation, reassuring fans and the media that Jokic's elbow is fine.
"Nikola's elbow is fine," Malone said, putting to rest any fears of a serious injury.

The Nuggets struggled offensively down the stretch, with Jokic going cold from beyond the arc, shooting just 2-for-10 from three-point range.
Jokic still had pretty decent numbers, proving that even at diminished health, he is still one of the best in the NBA.
While the loss was disappointing, Malone's update on Jokic's health is a relief for the Nuggets as they prepare for the final stretch of the season and even another game against the Thunder tomorrow.
With Jokic leading the way, Denver remains a top contender in the West, and his health will be crucial as the team looks to solidify its playoff position and make a deep postseason run.
