Potential Patriots WR target heads to the LA Rams

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye won’t be adding Davante Adams to his arsenal.

Instead, Matthew Stafford gets the weapon.

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Davante Adams has signed with the LA Rams.

The veteran receiver is reportedly getting a 2-year deal worth $46 million, with $26 million guaranteed.

While it was believed Adams would land with Aaron Rodgers, he wanted to be on the West Coast. And, he lands with a contending team.

Adams is from California, born in Palo Alto, so the move makes sense on several levels.

As for [the Patriots](https://Here’s who New England Patriots should target in free agency "https://Here’s who New England Patriots should target in free agency"), Chris Godwin is the best of the remaining free agent receivers.

The Rams, who have trying to trade Cooper Kupp, are expected to release the 31-year-old receiver, who is a former NFL Offensive Player of the Year and former Super Bowl MVP (LVI).

Seattle’s D.K. Metcalf is also available via trade.

The Seahawks asking price for Metcalf has come down from originally wanting a first-round pick as well as a third-round pick, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. They are now “open to a return centered around a second-round pick.”

Metcalf, however, is reportedly hoping to land with a warm-weather team.
