Chargers Near Top of DK Metcalf’s List of Trade Destinations

There is no bigger development around the NFL right now than DK Metcalf's trade request.

The star wide receiver requested a move from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week and things appear to be heading towards a resolution quickly.

Shortly after the trade request, the Seahawks began revealing a starting price for a potential trade and Metcalf or someone close to him leaked what he's looking for in a new team.

While a trade doesn't appear imminent, more details about the request and teams the former All-Pro receiver are interested in are being revealed seemingly every few hours.

The Los Angeles Chargers have been linked to the Seahawks star since the trade request was announced due to a glaring hole at the receiver position. But the newest development in the Metcalf saga makes the pairing seem highly likely.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Los Angeles is high on the two-time Pro Bowler's list of preferred destinations. He went on to mention that some even believe the Chargers are the favorites to acquire the star.

The #Chargers are high on D.K. Metcalf's list of preferred destinations in a trade, per sources, with some in the league believing L.A. is his top choice.

Both sides fit each other like a glove, with the Chargers having the warm weather Metcalf desires and more than enough money to sign him to an extension.

On the other hand, the wide receiver has the big play ability and reliable hands that Los Angeles desperately needed on the outside.

There appears to be mutual interest between the two sides and with free agency on the horizon, a deal could be coming sooner rather than later.

Seattle dropped their asking price for Metcalf earlier, so if the Chargers want him, he's waiting in the wings for them.
