Following the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford this afternoon, Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has taken to X in response to comments made by Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes before the game.
Despite not appearing in United’s lineup, Diallo made sure to express his feelings around Gabriel’s provocative comments in an interview prior to the Premier League clash.
After a string of lacklustre performances from the Red Devils, manager Ruben Amorim seemed satisfied with his squad’s performance.
In his post-match interview, the Portuguese manager stated: “if I look at the performance, I’m quite pleased, even with all the problems.”
According to express.co.uk, a viral interview clip of Gabriel featured him responding to the question, ‘are you particularly scared of any United attackers you might face on Sunday?’
Gabriel replied, “I’m pretty sure I have scored more than all of them” – bold words that he may later come to regret, especially after he and the Gunners failed to conquer struggling United this afternoon.
Interestingly, Gabriel’s daring claim wasn’t far from the truth, as his three goals so far this season puts him level with United strikers Zirkzee and Garnacho.
Nonetheless, with six goals six assists under his belt this season, Diallo only needed one word in response to the Brazilian defender’s audacious comment.

The tweet has since gone viral, with 1.1M views so far, with United fans praising their man for defending the Red Devils with subtlety and wit.
