[D.K. Metcalf](https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2025/03/new-dk-metcalf-report-could-spell-bad-news-for-new-england-patriots.html) got one of his wishes.
The Seattle Seahawks star receiver, who was the top receiver available, got traded.
He didn’t land with a warm weather team, but he did land with a playoff team.
According to reports, the Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring the two-time Pro Bowl wideout from the Seahawks in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick.
The teams also swapped late-round round picks.
Metcalf also struck a new five-year $150 million contract with the Steelers.
Metcalf was hoping to make $30 million per year, and that’s exactly what he got.
The Steelers, however, don’t have a quarterback under contract. Both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are free agents.
So it remains to be seen who will be throwing passes to Metcalf this season in Pittsburgh.
As for the Seahawks, who are looking to reboot even after a 10-7 season, they’ve gained draft assets with trades of Metcalf and quarterback Geno Smith.
Earlier, in other wide receiver news, Davante Adams signed with the LA Rams.
