Denver Broncos 2025 NFL free agency tracker

Unlike 2024, the Broncos have some room to spend — more than $40 million of cap space as the new league year dawns, per OvertheCap.com. This puts the Broncos 19th in cap space, even though they still have $32 million of dead money left on Russell Wilson’s contract.

So, they’re not out of the woods yet. But they do have room with which to operate.

The Broncos got a jump start the night before the legal-tampering period began by re-signing backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham to a 2-year deal.

Here’s the latest news on the Broncos as NFL free agency plays out

Jarrett Stidham lost the quarterback battle to Bo Nix last summer, but handled his understudy role well throughout the season that followed, and opted to stay with Nix and Sean Payton to provide stability and continue working in Payton’s offensive scheme.

The team’s long snapper was set to become a restricted free agent, but the Broncos didn’t want to give him an RFA tender given that it would be more than a typical long snapper’s contract, leading to the sides working out a 3-year deal.
