The Pittsburgh Steelers added to their receiving corps with the trade acquisition of former Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf on Sunday, prompting takes from across the NFL world.
One of them came from former Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, who had a mouthful to say about the big news out of Steeler Nation.
Metcalf, a former second round pick from 2019 out of Ole Miss, has a strong connection with another well known Steelers player that was spotlighted by the former Heisman Trophy winner.
Griffin III has high hopes for Metcalf, specifically if the Steelers make a bold decision in regards to the quarterback position.
"DK Metcalf to the Steelers is BRILLIANT," Griffin III wrote. "Most yards in a season of DK's Career? With Russell Wilson.
"Most TDs in a season of DK's Career? With Russell Wilson. Most Wins in a season of DK's Career? With Russell Wilson.
"Russell Wilson should be back as the Steelers QB," Griffin III concluded in a post viewed over 13,400 times on X as of Sunday night.
