Bills sign quarterback Josh Allen to record-breaking contract extension

The [Buffalo Bills](https://www.buffalorumblings.com/) and quarterback Josh Allen will not be parting ways anytime soon. As was announced by the organization on Sunday, the two sides have reached an agreement on a new contract extension that will keep the reigning league MVP in Western New York through the 2030 season.

The contract reportedly is worth $300 million and includes a record-breaking $250 million in guarantees.

Allen joined the Bills as a first-round selection in 2017, and after some growing pains has developed into one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. In 2024, he registered 4,269 total yards and 41 total touchdowns while also posting the fewest turnovers of his career (8). Allen also became the first player in NFL history to post five straight seasons of 40-plus touchdowns.

Despite his heroics and game-changing performances, however, Allen and the Bills have yet to find consistent playoff success together. The team is 7-6 in 13 postseason games with him under center, but outside of two trips to the AFC Championship Game has nothing to show for.
