Back in New England: Harold Landry agrees to terms with New England Patriots

It is going to be a reunification on multiple levels for former Boston College star defensive EDGE Harold Landry. The All Pro defender reportedly agreed to terms on reached a three-year, $43.5 million deal with the New England Patriots that includes $26 million guaranteed according to ESPN. This deal brings Landry back to the area after playing college ball at Boston College for four seasons, while also reuniting him with his former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who took over as the Patriots head coach this offseason.

During his time at Boston College, Landry a former four star recruit, became a star his junior season when he led the nation in sacks with 16 (a number that was just passed this past season by Donovan Ezeiruaku. He finished his career with the Eagles with 25 career sacks and 158 tackles, before leaving for the 2018 NFL Draft. That year he was the 41st overall pick (in the second round) selected by Vrabel and the Titans.

Over his career with the Titans, Landry amassed 50.5 total sacks and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021.

Landry will be the first Boston College player to suit up for the Patriots since Ron Brace in 2012. The other Eagles to come to Foxborough are as follows: Damien Woody (99-03), Doug Flutie ('05) Mike Cloud ('03-'05) Dan Koppen ('03-'11) per Pro Football Reference.
