Rams Player Makes Major Personal Move Amid NFL Offseason

Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Kobie Turner took a big step in his personal life this offseason, marrying his high school sweetheart, Alissa Villanueva.

The 25-year-old recently celebrated a major personal milestone by marrying his high school sweetheart, Alissa Villanueva, in an intimate ceremony on Saturday at The Estate at River Run in Maidens, Virginia, according to PEOPLE.

Turner and Villanueva, who have been together for nearly eight years, tied the knot in a wedding that reflected their deep connection and shared history.

Their love story began in high school choir, so it was only fitting that their former choir teacher, Lynne Babcock, officiated the ceremony.

The couple also incorporated a heartfelt "ring warming" tradition, where each of their 94 guests held and blessed the wedding rings before they exchanged vows.

"We're marrying our best friend," Villanueva exclusively shared with PEOPLE. "From the beginning, our relationship was always about building toward this moment, and now here we are."

After the wedding, the newlyweds set off for a honeymoon in Italy, planning to visit iconic destinations like Rome, the Amalfi Coast, and Florence.

Even amid personal celebrations, Turner remained focused on his team. Recently, when asked about the Rams' future, he didn't hesitate to show his unwavering support for quarterback Matthew Stafford.

"Nine is my quarterback," Turner told talkSPORT, referring to Stafford's jersey number.

"If we go a different direction, then obviously we'll pivot. But at the end of the day, Matthew Stafford is my quarterback."

With his wedding marking a new chapter in his personal life, Turner remains committed to his teammates and the game he loves.
