Buffalo Sabres Fans Send Josh Allen Clear Message Following New Contract

Buffalo Bills quarterback, Josh Allen, made history on Sunday. Allen and the Bills agreed to a record-setting, six-year contract extension worth $330 million, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Allen's contract extension includes $250 million in guaranteed money, the highest for any player in NFL history.

Allen has had an incredible four-month span, on and off the field. On top of this historic contract, he's fresh off his first career NFL MVP award, and he got engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld.

Allen's new deal will keep him in Buffalo through the 2030-2031 NFL season. This has prompted another group of Buffalo fans, Buffalo Sabres fans, to flood social media pleading with Allen to purchase the Sabres.

The irony of the message Sabres fans are sending to Allen, is Terry and Kim Pegula, the owners of the Bills, also own the Sabres. This hasn't stopped numerous fans from ask Allen to purchase their favorite NHL team.

"Sell Josh Allen the Sabres," @DuffyOnWCMF posted on X.

"Josh Allen is one step closer to buying the Sabres," @Sabrestalkv2 posted on X.

And known Buffalo sports fan, and podcast host, Connor Hurley, also took to X."

The Sabres currently hold the worst record (24-32-6) and have the least amount of points (54) in the NHL's Eastern Conference. The Sabres current valuation is approximately $1.1 billion dollars. With Allen's new contract, there is a realistic possibility he could buy a minority, or potentially a majority stake in the Sabres.
