Kawhi Leonard made a tough left-handed hook shot at the buzzer to give the Los Angeles Clippers a 111-110 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
James Harden had 29 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists for the Clippers (35-29), who now lead the Kings by 1 ½ games for eighth in the Western Conference playoff race.
Ivica Zubac had 22 points and 14 rebounds for Los Angeles. Leonard and Derrick Jones Jr. scored 17 points apiece.
DeMar DeRozan had 31 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists for the Kings (33-30), who could have moved ahead of the Clippers with a win.
Zach LaVine scored 30 points, going 12 of 22 from the field but just 1 of 7 from 3-point range. Keegan Murray added 15 points. Jonas Valanciunas had nine points, 17 rebounds and seven assists.
The Kings will be back in action Monday when they play host to the New York Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back.
Halftime report
The Kings led 23-20 after holding the Clippers to 35.3% shooting in the first quarter. They trailed 51-49 at the half after allowing Los Angeles to shoot 61.9% in the second quarter.
LaVine led all scorers with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Harden had 11 points to lead three players in double figures for the Clippers.
Second half
The Clippers went up by nine early in the third quarter. The Kings responded with a 10-0 run and led 75-72 going into the fourth.
DeRozan hit back-to-back jumpers to put Sacramento up 90-85 with 4:13 remaining. The Kings went up by seven on a corner 3 by Murray with 2:19 to go.
The Clippers cut the deficit to two on an emphatic dunk by Zubac and tied the game on a floater by Harden with 11.9 seconds to play. The game went to overtime after LaVine missed a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer.
Overtime
The Clippers led 104-99 following a 3-pointer by Harden and a bucket by Jones. The Kings answered with a 3-pointer by LaVine and a bucket by DeRozan to tie the game.
Jones hit a corner 3 to put the Clippers up 107-104. DeRozan made two free throws to cut the deficit to one and buried a long jumper to put the Kings up 108-107 with 39.7 seconds to go.
Harden’s driving layup put the Clippers up 109-108 with 28.9 seconds remaining.
Two free throws by DeRozan put the Kings up 110-109 with 21.6 seconds to play, setting the stage for Leonard’s game-winning shot at the buzzer.

The Kings flew back to Sacramento following Sunday’s game to face the Knicks on Monday at Golden 1 Center.
The Knicks (40-23) have lost three in a row, falling to the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers.
The Kings are 4-7 this season when playing on the second night of a back-to-back.
