Ten young Cambodian politicians and activist (two from the ruling party, seven from the opposition parties, one from civil society) will visit Japan from March 12 to March 19 as part of JENESYS 2024, a people-to-people exchange program promoted by the MOFA.

The program has been conducted since 2018 in order to support Cambodia’s democratic development through promoting dialogue between the ruling party, the opposition parties and others. This visit will be the seventh of such kind.

The participants will visit the National Diet and have exchanges with Japanese parliamentarians of Japan-Cambodia Friendship League. They will also visit Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, to observe the election of the governor of Chiba Prefecture as well as the efforts of companies in Chiba Prefecture to promote regional development.
