Villa News Speaking to Bryan King

Manchester City have been told to re-sign Morgan Rogers as they eye up another Aston Villa star.
Unai Emery has transformed Villa since arriving in the West Midlands.
As a result, a host of top European clubs are likely to be taking a closer look at their players, and it seems as though Manchester City are one of those clubs.
Villa have some high-profile players such as Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martínez. However, it looks as though City have their sights set elsewhere.

Man City told to re-sign Rogers instead of £50m Aston Villa star
As reported by TBR Football (6 March), Aston Villa are braced for interest in Jacob Ramsey this summer from Manchester City.
Unai Emery wouldn’t want to lose Ramsey. As a result, Villa have placed an asking price of £50million on the midfielder. However, ex-Villa scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – has told City to sign Rogers instead, and thinks Jack Grealish could be involved in a potential deal.

“If City are looking to bring in Ramsey, look at Rogers,” King said.
“If I were City I’d offer big money for him, because he will cost big money. I don’t know why they want to mess about with somebody like Ramsey, when if the money is there, and all players are available, let’s be fair, Rogers is right there.

Rogers’ record for Aston Villa
“If Pep Guardiola wants to rebuild his squad, I’d go for Rogers before Ramsey. He has done well since he left City.
“Now, if City are looking to rebuild, I’d imagine somewhere in this scenario, Jack Grealish could be making the journey back to Villa. It won’t be a swap because there will be money involved.”

City’s interest in Ramsey could provide Villa with the perfect chance to sign Grealish.
However, while supporters at Villa Park would likely welcome Grealish back with open arms, it is hard to imagine that they would want to lose Rogers in the process.
