Man Utd drew 1-1 with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon but could have won the game.

Ruben Amorim piled the praise on Arsenal star David Raya after he denied Manchester United a surprise victory in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Bruno Fernandes and Declan Rice both found the back of the net in spectacular style as the points were shared in a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Raya was partly at fault for poor positioning that allowed Bruno Fernandes to give United the lead, but more than made up for the mistake with a string of fine saves in the second-half of the match. The 29-year-old got down low to deny both Noussair Mazraoui and Joshua Zirkzee a possible two-goal cushion before he came to the rescue with a world-class recovery to claw a Fernandes effort off the line in injury time.

United might well have won the game if not for the performance of Raya and afterwards, head coach Amorim recognised the contribution of the Arsenal shot-stopper.

Speaking after the match, Ruben Amorim was pull of praise for Manchester United's performance and claimed they might have won the gave if not for the heroics from David Raya.

"They had emotion, that is why they want to be here. I know it is hard, especially in the first-half, to see our team defending in the low block and trying to understand the press. Today we were focused on trying to win the game, and we showed that," he told MUTV.

"They followed the plan, and they believed it. Every time they had the ball, they believed it. That was a very good point in our performance today. When we suffered the goal the team was not lost and tried to win the game again.

"Today, we must also give credit to the Arsenal goalkeeper [David Raya] who made amazing saves. We created chances, that's the most important thing."
