Agent working on transfer for months–Chelsea against Barcelona for huge deal

Chelsea are in the picture to sign AC Milan’s Rafael Leão in the summer window, according to Calciomercato.

The left winger has managed 10 goals and nine assists from 39 games this season and the Blues are said to be keen.

His form would have attracted interest from Chelsea and Barcelona as these two clubs have already shown ‘concrete interest’ in acquiring his signature.

The Portugal international’s contract lasts until 2028, and Milan have some security in that regard.

Leão hasn’t been decisive enough this season and Calciomercato are of the belief there’s ‘a sort of persecution’ towards the player, who seems to be ‘paying for fault of others’.

The 25-year-old is the highest paid player in the squad, and the website claims Milan should provide more protection, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. It feels like Leão is no longer a key part of the Rossoneri’s project.

Calciomercato have warned Milan to avoid any sort of misunderstandings and send a clear message to both the player and his camp.

Chelsea remain in the background, along with Barcelona, as these two clubs are keen on signing Leão. His agent, Jorge Mendes, has been working for months on his possible exit from the San Siro.
