Chelsea hatch Jobe Bellingham transfer plan amid Jude Bellingham repeat

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to outbid any potential rivals in the transfer pursuit of Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham in the summer.

Bellingham has emerged as one of the most-talented players in the English Football League (EFL) in recent seasons and is hunting to return the Black Cats to the Premier League.

The younger brother of Jude Bellingham joined Sunderland from Birmingham and has developed into an eye-catching all-rounder. His performances in the Championship has led to interest from Europe's top teams and reports state Chelsea are looking to win the race for his signature.

According to The Sun, the Blues are one of three teams eyeing a big move for the England Under-21s international and it's thought they are ready to offer the best bid to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

With the importance of including homegrown players in the Premier League, it's thought Chelsea are keen to continue their track record at signing domestic players. However, Borussia Dortmund, who signed Jude before his move to Real Madrid, are also interested in bringing the 19-year-old to Germany.

In recent years, the west Londoners have signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Cole Palmer, Omari Kellyman, Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke. The emergence of Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong has also meant Enzo Maresca has utilised a number of English players.

Bellingham's signing would follow that path of domestic signings implemented at Chelsea. The midfielder would also help the club reach the homegrown quota in Europa, especially if Maresca's men qualify for the Champions League.
