About 10 days ago, Leeds United looked nailed on to go and secure automatic promotion to the Premier League. But since then, Leeds have managed just one point from their last two games.
The draw against West Brom was seen as a solid result even if The Whites had been expected to win. The Baggies have improved under Tony Mowbray and West Brom are pushing hard to finish in the play-offs.
But, not many could have foreseen a fourth Championship defeat of the season at Portsmouth. Joel Piroe missed glorious chances and both Illan Meslier and Joe Rodon will have to share some blame for the goal.
With 10 games left, it is unclear if Leeds will be promoted. That will then have a knock-on effect in the transfer market and a decision needs to be made on Jack Harrison with his loan at Everton set to expire.

David Prutton thinks Leeds United should keep Jack Harrison
Harrison finally broke his 39-game goal drought on Saturday evening, even if his effort curled past Jose Sa via a deflection. Everton fans have been largely fed up with the on-loan Leeds man throughout 24-25.
Speaking to FLW, former Leeds midfielder David Prutton has urged The Whites to keep Harrison when his loan at Everton does end. The Toffees are unlikely to try and sign Harrison on a permanent this summer.
“If he came back to Leeds, would be a useful, experienced option in a squad that needs to strengthen. With the players they’ve got, Jack’s a bit more workmanlike, and I mean that in the most respectful way.
“Given how good he is, and what a good member of the squad he is. He seems to be a very well-liked part of what Leeds United has been in the past. whether he gets a first-team berth remains to be seen.”

Daniel Farke and Leeds United’s stance on Jack Harrison return
Signed by Leeds for £11m after two successive loan spells, Harrison signed a new deal a few months before relegated and it means the winger still has a contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2028.
It means clubs will have to meet Leeds’ demands, there is no leverage in regards to his contract. But, the YEP have said that Harrison is less likely to stay at Leeds than the potential of a return to the MLS.
Daniel Farke is uninterested in bringing him back to Elland Road but if Leeds do get promoted, perhaps Farke could perform a u-turn and consider adding Harrison’s Premier League experience to his squad.
