Player set to return to Chelsea–Fans have already turned against him

Chelsea loaned out Joao Felix to AC Milan late in the winter transfer window.

While the Portuguese impressed on his debut, scoring his first goal for the Rossoneri, things haven’t gone to plan since then.

He’s received criticism from the Milan fans for his performances and is yet to score even once in six Serie A games. More so, he didn’t even start for the Italian side against Lecce at the weekend.

TVPlay, part of the Gazzetta dello Sport group, have looked at the 25-year-old and his future at Chelsea, stating that the chances of him staying at Milan beyond this season are ‘slim’.

They are confident that he will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer as his recent unimpressive spell has convinced the Rossoneri about their decision already.

The decision is also going to come down to finances. As Chelsea would ideally want between €30m and €40m to sell their attacker permanently and Milan can’t afford to pay that right now.

The only way Felix can stay at the San Siro is if the Blues open up to another loan deal, but the way things are going, Sergio Conceicao’s side are unlikely to attempt that move.
