Chelsea enter race to sign‘powerful’ midfielder compared to Jude Bellingham alongside Man United and Arsenal

Despite there being ten crucial Premier League games to go this season, Chelsea are already getting themselves prepared for what is going to be a busy summer transfer window.

Enzo Maresca’s first team squad now has a very different to look to when the campaign started, with a number of players who were key members of the ‘B team’ moving on to get more minutes elsewhere.

The likes of Axel Disasi, Joao Felix and Renato Veiga are enduring loan spells with varying levels of success. Villa fans have been impressed by Disasi as they continue to hunt Chelsea down in the race for the Champions League.

Chelsea are prepared to ‘go big’ in the transfer market despite the vast amount spent on players since Todd Boehly and co took over the running of the club.

Central midfield is one position they are considering addressing, despite the fact that Andrey Santos will be a Chelsea player from next season.

Chelsea enter race to sign Jobe Bellingham

There will no doubt be concerns about the amount that Romeo Lavia can play enough games after the nightmare run of injuries he has suffered since his move to Stamford Bridge.

This has led to looking at other options, and one player they have come across as a potential option is Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.

Bellingham has been described as ‘powerful’ by manager Regis Le Bris to Goal, however even if they are not promoted, it is likely that the Sunderland man moves on this summer.

A number of big clubs have been linked with a move to sign Bellingham already. Both Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked, according to TBRFootball.

It is Chelsea though who are now making strides to complete a deal. According to Alan Nixon’s Patreon, the Blues have entered the race to sign the midfielder when the transfer window opens again.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are currently seen as undroppable at Stamford Bridge, however the fact the Blues are likely to be playing European football again next season requires a big squad who are capable of competing.

Jobe Bellingham compared to brother Jude Bellingham

Given the Sunderland man is related to Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham, comparisons are quickly going to be made between the two.

The former Borussia Dortmund man has weighed in on the comparisons, stating previously that the two share the same mentality and desire to win.

He said: “We couldn’t couldn’t be closer really. He has a really good mentality, thinks like me, he’s a really good young player um so I get a lot from him as well you know.”

Any top side will jump at the chance to sign a player who has the potential to reach a level similar to the Madrid man, given that many Premier League sides missed out on the addition of him when he was starring at Birmingham City.
