Neither Manchester United nor Tottenham Hotspur are having satisfying seasons in the Premier League.
When both sides would want to be fighting for the top four, they are tied on 34 points.
Tottenham are languishing at 13th in the table, and the Red Devils are at 14th after holding Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Even though Tottenham are likelier to make a managerial change in the summer than Manchester United, TuttoSport have linked the two clubs with a move for Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi.
The newspaper look at the Italian’s situation in detail. They state that because Inzaghi’s current deal at Inter runs out in the summer of 2026, it is normal for other big clubs to keep an eye on the manager.
Their report claims that Manchester United and Tottenham are ‘first and foremost’ keeping an eye on Inzaghi. Things were similar last summer, even if the ex-Lazio manager has never shown clear signs of wanting to leave the Nerazzurri.
The indication is that a lot of these rumours have taken birth due to Inzaghi’s contract situation. All of them can die down if the manager signs a new deal at the Giuseppe Meazza.
