The NFL’s legal tampering period begins today at 12:00PM EST and Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has already been busy in-house, and we can expect him to be busy bringing in more free agents. The Bills have already extended four players in WR Khalil Shakir, LB Terrel Bernard, DE Greg Rousseau, and MVP QB Josh Allen (to a [blockbuster record-setting deal](https://buffalowdown.com/bills-make-the-dream-start-to-free-agency-with-blockbuster-josh-allen-extension-01jnym14p518) that gives him $250 million guaranteed).
The Bills are all about drafting and developing and they are rewarding some of their top players with these new deals. On the other hand, the Bills have also made a business decision to release future Hall of Fame pass-rusher, [Von Miller](https://buffalowdown.com/bills-make-the-most-obvious-expected-move-with-the-release-of-von-miller-01jnxnh53gtf). After three years in Buffalo, the Bills are moving on from Miller and they will save over $8 million but will endure a $15 million dead-cap hit.
The Bills are nowhere near the salary cap issues that the were in last season, which gives them a little bit of freedom to spend. Even with having to release a lot of veteran players last season, they still managed to bring in some new free agent additions. Brandon Beane should be focusing on either getting Allen more weapons outside the numbers, or going heavy on bringing in defensive help.
This is the first step in the direction of getting ready for the 2025 season and fans can keep up to date with all of the news surrounding the Bills in the next coming days.
