Manchester City have seriously exciting plans for their summer transfer business.
Pep Guardiola went big in the January transfer window, but Manchester City definitely need more new additions, if they are to bring some real success back to The Etihad.
The Man City manager needs to completely rebuild his squad, and Sheik Mansour has to back the Spaniard to the hilt.
As long as the club stay within the new PSR guidelines, there’s no reason why City won’t mount an all out assault on the transfer market this summer.
There are too many players at The Etihad now who are well past their prime.

And it’s time for a new group of stars to get Man City back to where they truly belong.
MORE MAN CITY STORIES
However, numerous Manchester City fan favourites will have to make way for them, in order for the club to balance the books.
Mega Manchester City summer business incoming
John Stones is one of the Manchester City players Pep is apparently prepared to let go this summer.
There are seven others up for the chop as well, with the The Mirror suggesting that Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic, Ilkay Gundogan, Ederson and Kyle Walker could all leave The Etihad during the off-season.
But how much money could Man City recoup in transfer fees for those players? And how much will they save in wages?
John Stones
When Saudi clubs were courting John Stones last summer, City were demanding around £30 million for the centre-back (Al-Kass). Despite the fact he now has 12 months less remaining on his deal than he did then, he is still an important payer for City, so Pep surely wouldn’t sell him for anything less than the fee quoted last summer.
Jack Grealish
The 29-year-old is a mercurial talent, but aside from the 2022/23 season, he has failed to live up to expectations under Pep Guardiola. City will be looking for at least £50 million if they are to sell him this summer, but shifting him will be very hard with his £300k-a-week wages.
Kevin De Bruyne
The Belgium international will be out of contract with Man City this summer, and it’s looking very likely that he will leave on a free transfer.

The Portuguese ace is under contract with City until the summer of 2026. Talk of a £50 million sale has been mooted (TNT Sports), although Man City will do very well to get that kind of money for him now, given his age and the fact that he’ll be out of contract next summer.
Mateo Kovacic
The Croatian could leave Man City this summer, with Atletico Madrid keen to sign him. It is suggested that City will demand around £25 million for the midfielder (Esto es Atleti).
Ilkay Gundogan
Like De Bruyne, Gundogan will be out of contract at The Etihad within the next few months, so he obviously won’t fetch a transfer fee.
Ederson
Yahoo Sports claims that City could demand around £30 million for Ederson this summer. The 31-year-old has regressed this season, and a big upgrade is required if City are to get back to the top of the game.
Kyle Walker
Milan have an option to buy the 34-year-old for £4 million in the summer (Sky Sports). That will be decent business for City considering Walker’s age.
According to Spotrac, those eight players earn a combined £1.9 million per week at The Etihad.
If Pep manages to move all eight players on, that will be some serious cash taken off the wage-bill.
Man City to splash serious funds this summer
The Cityzens owners are clearly keen to get their team back to the top of the footballing pyramid in England.
Success in Europe will be required at City next season as well.
In order to do that, Pep needs to make a real statement signing, and he could do just that by bringing Florian Wirtz to The Etihad from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
The 21-year-old German has been linked with a £125 million blockbuster move to Man City in the summer transfer window.
There will be plenty of summer business as Manchester City during the off-season.
And if City manage to sell well this summer, there’s no reason why Pep Guardiola won’t be able to make a couple of statement signings.
