Gary Neville Claims Arsenal Could Drop More Points As He Suggests When Liverpool Could Lift The Title

**_Sky Sports_ pundit Gary Neville believes Liverpool can be crowned Premier League champions before the end of April.**

After Arsenal drew against Manchester United on Sunday evening, the Reds need 16 points from their remaining nine fixtures, but Neville believes the [**title race**](https://walkon.com/blog/liverpool-news-rio-ferdinand-title-prediction/) is all but over:

“The title is massive for Liverpool, winning that is big. To get level with United on league titles and to win a title in Arne Slot’s first season is a huge achievement.

“They will have scares but they’ve got more than enough. The teams behind them are not dipping, they’re going further behind never mind catching them up. Liverpool have got it in the bag, I think they will win it in April.”

As things stand, Liverpool can’t win the title before May

---------------------------------------------------------

Arne Slot’s side have five Premier League fixtures next month, which means they can only collect 15 points; one fewer than they currently need to guarantee top spot.

However, if Arsenal draw against Chelsea this weekend, it means the Gunners can only reach 83. That slip-up would allow Liverpool to lift the Premier League trophy at home against Tottenham on April 27th IF they can win their next five league games.

Fans shouldn’t get too far ahead of themselves

----------------------------------------------

While Neville seems to be handing Slot’s men the title already, the players must keep their focus. As we saw at the weekend when the Reds went 1-0 down to Southampton, anything can happen.

Liverpool may have lost just once all season, but a wobble at this stage could get the nerves jangling. The manager himself is definitely keeping his feet firmly on the ground

Slot was excellent at halftime versus the Saints. He was clearly unhappy with his side’s performance, which lacked the usual work rate. The players reacted well to their dressing down and they came out after the break with a completely different mentality, going on to secure the three points. If they play with that attitude when they return to Premier League action in April, the title will be theirs.
