Bruno Fernandes continued his hot streak during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
After a fairly underwhelming first-half display from Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes scored a wonderful free-kick to give Ruben Amorim’s side a lead heading into the break.
There was some controversy around Fernandes’ goal after it was revealed that referee Anthony Taylor marched the Arsenal wall back 11.2 yards instead of the advised 10, but United dealt with the same problem themselves after the break.
Rio Ferdinand raved about Fernandes after the Arsenal draw, while Amorim also piled praise onto his captain by suggesting United need more players with his mentality and attitude.
“We need more Brunos” was Amorim’s message after full-time, and stats show that United’s captain is keeping pace with Europe’s elite despite playing in a struggling side.

Bruno Fernandes matches Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland
United’s recruitment has been nothing short of terrible over the last decade, but the deal to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon back in 2020 deserves to be celebrated.
Fernandes is constantly available for United and is willing to play wherever he is needed to help the team. It makes Roy Keane’s rant at Fernandes even more questionable.

As pointed out by TNT Sports, Fernandes has now recorded over 25 goal contributions for three seasons in a row – a feat that is only matched by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
To make that achievement even more impressive, Fernandes has dropped to a deeper role under Amorim yet his output in terms of goals and assists is as impressive as ever.
Bruno Fernandes is topping charts across Europe
Where would United be without Bruno? That is a question many fans will be asking after yet another remarkable display from the Portuguese midfielder.
It is also a question that could be applied to the past five years. Fernandes has taken control of so many games and saved many underperforming United sides from embarrassment.
Not only is he keeping pace with the likes of Salah and Haaland, but there is an argument for Fernandes being one of Europe’s best midfielders.
Since August 2020, Bruno Fernandes has more goal contributions (94) than any other midfielder across Europe’s top five leagues 🌟

Fernandes has more goal contributions than any other midfielder in Europe’s top five leagues since 2020.
He has already scored 12 and assisted 13 this season, and there is still plenty of time to add to that tally while he is in top form.
Fernandes won the Player of the Year award in 2024 and it seems inevitable that he will take the trophy home again.
