Adidas has released a video after news of its partnership with Liverpool FC was confirmed.
Liverpool announced a new multi-year partnership with Adidas on Monday, marking the sportswear giant’s return as the club’s official kit partner.
The deal will see the German sports giants return to Anfield after more than a decade apart. The agreement will commence on August 1, 2025, bringing an end to Liverpool’s current five-year relationship with Nike.
The new deal represents a significant moment in Liverpool’s commercial history. The club is expected to earn a much better return from its partnership with Adidas. The Reds had previously partnered with the brand during two distinct eras.
The German sportswear manufacturer first supplied Liverpool kits from 1985 to 1996, a golden period that saw the club secure three league titles and multiple domestic cups while sporting some of their most iconic designs.
The second partnership ran from 2006 to 2012, coinciding with memorable moments, including the 2007 Champions League final appearance and the dramatic 2006 FA Cup final victory over West Ham.
Reports indicate that Adidas secured this prestigious partnership following an intensely competitive tender process. The German manufacturer successfully outbid both current supplier Nike and fellow sportswear giant Puma.
The acquisition strengthens Adidas’s presence in the Premier League, adding Liverpool to a roster that already includes Manchester United and Arsenal.
Shortly after Liverpool FC confirmed the partnership, Adidas released a catchy video confirming that their partnership with the Premier League giants is now official.
