The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick. Right away, the Steelers gave Metcalf a five-year deal worth $150 million in a massive move for the franchise.
On Monday, NFL free agency kicked off as the Steelers have questions regarding quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.
Unfortunately, the Steelers lost a big piece of the puzzle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that left tackle Dan Moore agreed to a deal with the Tennessee Titans.
"ESPN sources: Former Steelers left tackle Dan Moore reached agreement today on a four-year, $82 million deal that includes $50 million guaranteed with the Tennessee Titans. The deal includes in $30 million in year one and $50 million in the first two years," Schefter wrote on X.
Jordan Schultz reported Monday morning that Moore's market was expected to be "red-hot" while one source said he could get $20 million per year.
Well, Moore got just that with an average of $21 million per year from the Titans as well as $50 million guaranteed.
Moore was a fourth-round pick by the Steelers in the 2021 NFL draft after a stellar career at Texas A&M. He made 66 starts over the past four seasons, so he has been a steady force upfront for Pittsburgh.
Now, he joins the Titans, who hold the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
