The Tennessee Titans allowed 52 sacks last season, which was tied for fifth-most in the NFL. With a new quarterback likely starting in 2025, the team has decided to spend big to upgrade the offensive line.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Titans are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Dan Moore to a four-year contract worth $82 million. It's still early in free agency but this is one of the biggest contracts given out this offseason.
Moore will get $50 million of the contract guaranteed. While he's still not one of the five highest-paid left tackles in the NFL, he's firmly in the top 10 now.
Moore has never been to the Pro Bowl or named to an All-Pro team but he's been a consistent starter for the Steelers. He has started 66 games in four seasons and has been very durable.
Moore first came into the NFL as a fourth-round pick of the Steelers in 2021. He was rated as Pro Football Focus' 42nd tackle in the NFL last season so the Titans have to be banking that he'll continue to improve.
Moore is only 26 and is not locked up by Tennessee for the foreseeable future. The team no longer has a need at left tackle heading into the draft, which could factor into their decision on what to do with the No. 1 pick.
