Cardinals Re-Sign Veteran Offensive Lineman on $11.5 Million Deal

The Arizona Cardinals could have seen some big changes to the interior of their offensive line this offseason.

They had a huge chunk of their rotation at their guard spots set to hit free agency.

Will Hernandez, Evan Brown, and Trystan Colon all had the opportunity to hit the open market.

Now they've managed to keep one on the roster just before they were able to begin negotiating with other teams.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals have agreed to a two-year deal with Brown that is worth $11.5 million.

Another important re-sign in Arizona: G Evan Brown is staying with the #AZCardinals on a two-year deal worth $11.5 million, per The Insiders.

Brown started all 17 games, a valuable part of their O-line. The deal was negotiated by Sean Kiernan and Tom Povinelli of @AthletesFirst.

Brown stated all 17 games at left guard for the Cardinals during the 2024 season.

He proved to be a solid piece for an improved offensive line over those 17 starts. Pro Football Focus give him a pass blocking grade of 73.5, which was 27th among guards.

Brown allowed just two sacks and committed two penalties in 1070 snaps for the Cardinals last season.

This move will ensure continuity for the Cardinals' offensive line after a strong 2024 season and, more importantly, keeps the Cardinals from needing to chase a guard in a weak free agent class.

They also kept him on a pretty reasonable deal that will give them plenty of flexibility as they work on the rest of their roster needs.

The Cardinals have done a good job so far of holding onto their most important free agents. Now fans will hope their solid start in free agency carries over to some big moves from outside their roster.
