New Orleans Saints New DL Coach Bo Davis Discusses Decision to Leave LSU

A couple weeks back, LSU Defensive Line Coach, Bo Davis, made the decision to leave the LSU Tigers and accept the same job with the New Orleans Saints.

For the first time since Bo Davis decided to leave the Tigers to work under Kellen Moore in New Orleans, the former Tiger DL Coach spoke to the media. He talked about his decision to leave LSU and what he thinks the Tigers are getting in new DL Coach, Kyle Williams.

"It was an opportunity that presented itself and I think it was a good opportunity for me and my family," said Davis. "I love LSU, but this opportunity presented itself and it wasn't far from there, so I took it."

Davis was also asked about LSU's new Defensive Line Coach, Kyle Williams. The former Tiger DT played 13 years in the NFL before coaching at the high school level prior to joining the Tigers staff. Davis actually coached Williams while he was a player at LSU as well.

"I think they're getting a good person and a good coach," said Davis. "I think it's going to be tremendous for him. The wealth of knowledge he brings from the game to those young men, I think it's going to be unbelievable."

Davis is considered one of the best defensive line coaches in the business. The Tigers paid a premium for him (1.2 million dollars per year to be exact), and now the Saints get themselves someone who can help fix some of their defensive line issues.
