'Loads of police' in park as two males flee on scrambler bikes

There was a large police presence in Anfield this afternoon

Police surrounded a park this afternoon after two males were spotted riding scrambler bikes in a 'dangerous manner'. Merseyside Police were called to the Anfield area at around 3.30pm today, Monday, March 10.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing 'loads of police' entering Stanley Park in Anfield in pursuit of the bikes. The males fled the area following a brief pursuit by officers, police said.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We received a report of males riding two scrambler bikes in a dangerous manner in the Anfield area earlier today, Monday 10 March.

"The bikes were briefly pursued by officers, but the males fled the area. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and if you have any information you can call 101 or DM @MerPolCC quoting log number 529 of 10th March."
