Social media platform X has been hit by a "massive cyberattack" on Monday, according to owner Elon Musk.
Musk, the world’s richest man and boss of the social media platform, said the attack was carried out "with a lot of resources".
Mr Musk claimed that either a large coordinated group or a country was involved, or both.
Thousands of users reported outages on the platform, formerly called Twitter, on Monday, according to the tracking website Downdetector.com.
Downdetector.com said 56% of problems were reported for the X app while 33% were reported for the website.
Problems were reported by users in the US and the UK.
Writing on X, Mr Musk said: "There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against X.
"We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing ..."
