Wolves’ squad could look pretty different next season – and one fringe player could be on his way out of the club in the next window.
Wolves are hoping to still be in the Premier League for 2025/26.
At the moment, the club are six points clear of the relegation zone.
Wolves have improved under Vitor Pereira since he replaced Gary O’Neil, and the three teams currently in the relegation zone certainly aren’t doing enough at the moment.
It’s going to be a very interesting summer at Molineux.
Matheus Cunha is likely to leave for the value of his release clause.
And Nelson Semedo has been linked with a return to Benfica and could also be in the way out.
But then there are the fringe players, and Tommy Doyle seems like he could be another player on his way out, with Molineux News getting the latest from transfer expert Graeme Bailey.

Tommy Doyle has had a frustrating campaign.
Last year, he made a permanent move to Molineux for just over £4 million (BBC Sport), after impressing in his season on loan at the club.
But he has not been able to build on that campaign.
Gary O’Neil preferred Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina in midfield, with Andre sometimes playing with them.
And Pereira has also been reluctant to use Doyle, preferring the two Brazilians. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde has had some opportunities in the middle, and Wolves have also now brought in Marshall Munetsi.
Furthermore, Boubacar Traore is back now for Wolves. And Pereira has admitted Traore deserves to be starting more in a potential further blow for Doyle
With the situation looking somewhat bleak for Doyle, Molineux News caught up with Graeme Bailey to get the latest on the Englishman’s future – and an exit looks on the cards.
He tells us: “I think he could [leave]. There are a few teams I’ve heard, Middlesbrough wanted him as well. I think he’s going to have quite a few teams looking at him. Let’s see who comes up from the Premier League, is he one of those types of players?
“I think he will leave purely because I don’t particularly think he’s Pereira’s cup of tea, just one of those things when managers change. I think there’s a chance he stays in the Premier League but more likely top of the Championship.”
Sunderland want Tommy Doyle
Doyle was briefly linked with an exit from Wolves in January, but the club were not ready to offload and wanted options.
But it’s difficult to look past Doyle moving on this summer, as the competition is just so tough.
Central midfield is perhaps the position Wolves have the best depth, making life difficult for Doyle, who doesn’t seem to be fancied by Pereira.

Appearances – 25
Minutes played – 655
Goals – 1
Assists – 1
Pereira has now overseen 15 games as Wolves manager, and used Doyle 11 times. Only one of those 11 appearances has been a start though – against Nottingham Forest. The rest have been mere cameos, and he has been an unused substitute four times.
Sunderland were linked with Doyle earlier this year, but it sounds like he could genuinely have quite a few clubs on his tail in the next window.
He is a good player and somewhat unfortunate to be in the position he finds himself in, so hopefully a resolution can be found this summer.
