Danny Dyer begrudgingly says Jarrod Bowen can leave West Ham for another club

Jarrod Brown's future father-in-law sounded off on where he thinks the footballer could potentially end up in the future.

Danny Dyer has dismissed the idea of Bowen making a switch to Arsenal, though he conceded that there are two clubs for which he might tolerate Bowen leaving. The football star is engaged to Dyer's daughter, Dani, and together they have two children - earning Bowen a special place in the heart of West Ham fanatic Dyer.

Since his £20+ million transfer from Hull City to the Hammers, Bowen has become a crucial player for the team. He played an instrumental role in their European success and gained national recognition with a call-up to the England squad. Such achievements have sparked speculation regarding possible high-profile moves.

Nonetheless, Dyer, beloved for his roles on 'EastEnders' and 'Football Factory', can't stomach the thought of Bowen joining Arsenal. "He's never going to do that, why would he? What's in it for him?" Dyer said on talkSPORT.

When probed by host Andy Goldstein about a potential move to Real Madrid, Dyer couldn't deny the allure: "He's got to go then, hasn't he? Real Madrid? Yeah, for sure."

Conversely, Dyer didn't entertain the idea of Bowen switching to Chelsea, merely questioning, "Why would he go there?", reports the Mirror.

Yet, when it comes to Manchester City, Dyer acknowledged his resignation to the harsh realities of professional football: "Listen, it's his career," conceding, "City? I wouldn't mind that, I'd suffer that.

"I'm not going to lie, it would hurt, but he's a grown man and he makes his own decisions. It would obviously hurt, but of course I would be over the moon for him."

Bowen is set to take the pitch for West Ham in tonight's (Monday) clash against Newcastle, having been in stellar form since his return from a foot injury last month. The forward has found the back of the net against Arsenal and Chelsea, and manager Graham Potter will be hoping for more of the same against the Magpies.

Potter praised Bowen's performance, saying: "Jarrod has been fantastic. I think when you have a number of weeks off, it’s hard to expect that you’re going to be in absolutely top form from the first or second game.

“For him, he’s contributed to the team in a good way but I think there is still room for him as well to improve, so that’s exciting for us and for him because he’s still been a huge influence on the team. To have him on the pitch for us is massive.

"It’s credit to him and how he has conducted himself through the rehab process that he’s come back in such a good way but I think he’ll get better and better with more rhythm, more games and more training but we’ve been delighted with him.”

He believes there's still room for improvement, which is exciting for both the team and Bowen himself: "For him, he's contributed to the team in a good way, but I think there is still room for him as well to improve, so that's exciting for us and for him because he's still been a huge influence on the team. To have him on the pitch for us is massive."

Potter also commended Bowen's dedication during his recovery, adding, "It's credit to him and how he has conducted himself through the rehab process that he's come back in such a good way, but I think he'll get better and better with more rhythm, more games and more training, but we've been delighted with him."
