The Pittsburgh Steelers have some major questions to answer if they want to get back to competing for championships. First, the team needs to find its starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
One of the team’s starting quarterbacks from last season, Justin Fields, signed with the New York Jets on Monday, and now it appears the Jets quarterback from last season may end up taking his place.
Aaron Rodgers has been increasingly linked to the franchise, and now it seems like the Steelers are cleaning up their books so that they’ll have sufficient cap space to make a major signing.
“Source: Another big-time DT hits the market as the#Steelers have released Larry Ogunjobi,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“It’s gonna be a whole new Steeler team next season. Another one gone, and another one will take his place,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“The Bengals have the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever,” another fan added.
“Y’all remember that one time we signed him? Then didn’t pass his physical,” one Bears fan wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see what else the Steelers do as free agency unfolds around the league.
