What Did Hall of Fame Guard Say About Tyrese Haliburton?

When you think of Tyrese Haliburton, the word 'antagonizer' doesn't come to mind. However, the Indiana Pacers' recent success, coinciding with Haliburton's recent activity, specifically against a certain team, caught the recognition of a Basketball Hall of Fame guard. In a recent episode of FanDuel TV's Run it Back, the former NBA point guard continued showering Haliburton with attention.

Basketball Hall of Fame member Tim Hardaway Sr. doesn't like Haliburton.

After stating he wanted to "Bust" Haliburton's (expletive) in February on Gilbert Arena's podcast, Gil's Arena, you'd assume he'd stop blowing smoke up the Pacers' guard's figurative chimney.

Hardaway Sr. isn't finished with Haliburton yet.

In a recent episode of FanDuel TV's Run It Back, co-hosted by Michelle Beadle, Chandler Parsons, and Lou Williams, Hardaway talked about who he would want to suit up and play against in his prime.

"He [Haliburton] talks a little bit too much... if there's one guy that I want to go play against, I wanna go play against him in my prime... just shut up and play, man, because you're not really like that," Hardaway said.

Hardaway Sr. also noted Haliburton is "balling" but poked at the Pacers star for "hiding on defense."

Hardaway Sr.'s son, Hardaway Jr., plays for the Detroit Pistons. Although the Pacers and Pistons haven't had a contentious rivalry since the Malice in the Palace era, their recent battle in February showcased how ugly it can get, as multiple egenctions transpired.

Although both teams have since moved on, as the Pacers won the regular-season series 3-1, Hardaway Sr. felt the need to make further comments attacking Haliburton.

The Basketball Hall of Fame point guard is no stranger to repetitive remarks. When his son played for the Dallas Mavericks, he stated that the team kept the ball in Luka Doncic's hands too much instead of allowing Hardaway Jr. more shot attempts.

Haliburton hasn't let Hardaway Sr. off the hook, though. After the former Miami Heat guard went on Gil's Arena, the Pacers star responded on X (formerly known as Twitter) with a cryptic "Let the world know the real reason you feel this way, Tim."

Although a war of words could spin into more punclicity for Haliburton, the All-NBA guard would rather focus on blazing his own trail to a Hall of Fame induction while leading the Pacers to their consecutive Eastern Conference Finals.
