Arsenal keen on 44-year-old transfer guru after Liverpool, Tottenham links, move unlikely

Arsenal are interested in Eintracht Frankfurt chief Markus Krosche, who has turned down both Liverpool and Tottenham.

According to Bild via SportWitness, Arsenal would love to have Markus Krosche as one of their main men behind the scenes at the club. Having seen him work wonders at Eintracht Frankfurt, they are confident he could help them significantly improve.

However, they are unlikely to convince him to move to the Premier League, especially given that both Liverpool and Tottenham have failed in the past. The 44-year-old is very happy in his current role and has no intention of switching clubs anytime soon.

After a successful spell at RB Leipzig, Krosche took charge as Frankfurt’s Sporting CEO in the summer of 2021. His impressive transfer policies have played a pivotal role in all the success they have had in the recent past. He has helped them establish themselves as a top club in Germany.

His work hasn’t gone unnoticed, as clubs in the Premier League are looking to lure him. Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have all been linked with the German transfer guru. Both Spurs and the Reds knocked on the doors to ask about the 44-year-old in the past, but they couldn’t convince him to take up a role in the Premier League.

Krosche is going nowhere

Arsenal are currently with a sporting director as Edu Gaspar stepped down from his role towards the end of last year. The Gunners have been on the lookout for an ideal replacement, and Krosche is one of the names on their wishlist.

They feel he could have certainly helped them take the club forward. While the North London club are keen on his signature, they are unlikely to win the race. Krosche has no intentions of leaving the Bundesliga outfit before his contract runs out in 2028.

The report suggests that Krosche has, in a way, snubbed the Gunners after turning down Tottenham and Liverpool in the past. Meanwhile, Arsenal seem to have already figured out who will take Edu Gaspar’s place in their team. They are all set to complete the appointment of Andrea Berta this week.
