Liverpool and Arsenal, who have been competing for the Premier League title this season, are now set to go head-to-head in the summer transfer market.

One such player drawing interest from both clubs is Bournemouth’s highly-rated centre-back Dean Huijsen.

According to Caught Offside, both Liverpool and Arsenal are closely monitoring Huijsen, whose performances this season have made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe.
The 19-year-old has made 22 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season, scoring two goals and playing a key role in Andoni Iraola’s side, who have impressed and currently sit eighth in the league.
His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively has caught the attention of multiple top clubs.
Liverpool and Arsenal are not the only clubs in pursuit of Huijsen. Caught Offside reports that Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich have all expressed interest in signing the young defender.
Premier League clubs are expected to make offers in the region of €30-35 million (£25m-£30m) this summer, but Bournemouth are preparing to offer Huijsen a new contract in an attempt to raise his price, knowing that interest in him is only growing.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have been so impressed with his performances that transfer chief Juni Calafat is reportedly preparing a report on Huijsen ahead of a potential move.
