Arsenal have continued to raise their ticket prices in recent years as they look to increase their matchday revenue at the Emirates.

The London giants have confirmed their season ticket prices will rise by between 3-5 per cent next season following their rising costs.

The Arsenal Supporters’ Trust said it’s “extremely disappointed” by the ticket price hike after it had been calling for a price freeze.

The Football Supporters’ Association has written to the Premier League urging it to support a league-wide ticket price freeze next season.

West Ham confirmed their ticket price freeze recently after Brentford and Liverpool already revealed their rates will remain the same for the 2025-26 campaign.

Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Arsenal chiefs would have had their head in their hands after Liverpool announced their ticket price freeze.

Arsenal want to increase matchday revenue after significant operating costs

Borson insisted most Premier League clubs are likely to ignore Liverpool’s price freeze and continue to increase their prices for next season.

He told Football Insider: “I think it’s just a challenge that they’ve all got.

“As soon as Liverpool said we’re not putting the prices up, all of the other major clubs were probably head in hands going ‘We are going to have all sorts of protests now whatever we do’.

“I think you’ve then had a situation where some clubs have said we’re just going to face it head on. Newcastle have done it. Arsenal have done it and others will do it.

“I’m sure City will put their prices up as well and just say ‘We have got inflation still running quite high’.

“We have got the operating costs of these businesses still going above inflation actually. Most of the clubs have reported double-digit increases in operating costs percentage wise, so they’ve got big costs coming just even away from player wages.

“They have all got big, real costs and they’re just going to say we’re putting the prices up and it’s not just about the one season.

“It’s the cumulative effect and the compounding of small increases over multiple seasons, so five per cent a year, then five per cent on top of the 5 per cent and 5 per cent on top of that. That’s what they’re going to be focused on.

“They are going to be focused on moving that revenue line up over time, so I think most teams are going to try and fight hard to ignore the Liverpool example and put the prices up.”
