Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo has returned to team training ahead of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg tie against PSG on Tuesday.
In his press conference ahead of the match, head coach Arne Slot confirmed that the Dutchman is available for selection and will be in the matchday squad. Gakpo will hope to avoid missing three straight matches due to a training knock.
The Reds bring a narrow 1-0 lead into Tuesday’s match, a quite lucky advantage given the quality and performance of PSG in the first leg. Gakpo would be a useful addition to the squad, who will be stretching themselves thin following their three-game week — while PSG was able to rotate in Ligue 1 this wekeend.
