Los Angeles Chargers Agree to Extensions with Bozeman and Scott

Scott returns after punting in all 17 regular-season games for the Bolts in 2024, finishing top-10 in the NFL in net punt yards, gross punt yards and punts downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line. In his third season with Los Angeles, Scott punted 72 times for a career-high average of 46.7 gross yards per punt (41.9 net) with a long of 67 yards and 28 punts downed inside of an opponent's 20-yard line. Since being with the Bolts, Scott has twice won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, once in Week 12 of 2022 and another in Week 13 of 2023. He has held on a field goal operation over his three seasons with the Chargers that has converted a league-leading 95.4 percent of its kicks (field goals and PATs combined).

Entering the NFL as a fifth-round selection by the Green Bay Packers in the 2018 NFL Draft, Scott has appeared in 100 career regular-season games for the Chargers, Packers and Jaguars, punting 418 times for a gross average of 45.1 yards per punt (40.4 net) with 149 placed inside the opposition's 20-yard line. In his final season with Green Bay, Scott posted a 45.5-yard gross punting average, good for the second-best mark in a single season in team history (min. 35 punts).

The Denver, Colo., native was a three-time First-Team All-Southeastern Conference selection over his four seasons at Alabama (2014-17), twice being named a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, which is presented annually to college football's top punter, and contributing to two College Football Playoff National Championship teams
