Chicago extends safety Tarvarius Moore: 1-year deal

Ryan Poles has wasted no time reinventing the Chicago Bears, and while his focus so far has been on rebuilding the trenches, he is also paying attention to the secondary by extending Tarvarius Moore. The deal reportedly comes in just north of $1 million and is for a single year. The defensive back out of Southern Miss was on the practice squad for much of the 2024 season, but he was promoted to the active roster in November.

Before Chicago, Moore was briefly on another team (the one in Wisconson), but he saw playing time as a safety for the San Francisco 49ers. In fact, his only NFL career interception to date came against Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.

Dennis Allen will have a number of quality players to work with on the defense, and Moore helps add depth to a unit that has sometimes struggled with injuries. Bear down.
