Darwin Nunez has reportedly decided to leave Liverpool after the season. Here's why.
There has been plenty of speculation around Darwin Nunez's future at Liverpool. It's not difficult to understand how that's come about, to be honest.

Nunez arrived at Liverpool for a big fee. In fact, add-ons made it a potential record fee for the Reds at £85m.
That was the level of talent they thought they were getting and you can see why. Nunez has just about everything you want for a leading no.9. He's powerful, he's incredibly quick, he's direct, and has the ability to handle multiple defenders at once.
The only problem is that he's wildly inconsistent with putting the ball in the back of the net. His performances against Paris Saint-Germain (as a substitute) and Southampton showed the problem - at his best, he's decisive.
It makes it hard to give up on him despite his lack of goals this season. If it would all just click together...

Anfield Watch exclusively revealed in January that Liverpool rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League to sign Nunez mid-season. The Reds weren't willing to let him go, even for an incredible amount of money.
But it appears things will be different in the summer. Even if Liverpool struggle to give up on Nunez, it appears he's given up on them.
Darwin Nunez wants out
Sky Sports claims that Nunez has 'grown tired' of living in England and wants a move somewhere closer to his Latin culture. Spain, in other words.
Atletico Madrid are the frontrunners to get him as they search for a replacement for Antoine Griezmann. There are dreams of a Julian Alvarez x Nunez strikeforce - if Diego Simeone can convince the club to pay up.

But we do imagine Liverpool will be willing sellers. If Nunez wants to leave the club, all that's required is the right fee because we understand the plan is to move him on anyway.
