CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns acquired a former Steelers quarterback on Monday, but not the one some may have thought.
They acquired Kenny Pickett, the Steelers No. 20 overall pick in 2022 out of Pitt, in a trade with the Eagles.
The Browns sent quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson to the Eagles as well as a 2024 fifth-round pick they got from Detroit in the Za’Darius Smith trade.
Pickett lasted two years in Pittsburgh before they traded him to the Eagles in 2024. Pickett backed up Jalen Hurts last season, winning a Super Bowl over the Chiefs, and getting in the game in the final minutes.
