Liverpool faces big competition from Juventus in the race for Milos Kerkez, as Bournemouth demands at least €45 million for the left-back.
According to Sky Sports France, Juventus are expected to enter the race for Milos Kerkez and rival Liverpool in the hunt for the left-back. Bournemouth are aware of the growing interest as they will demand at least €45 million for the Hungarian full-back.
The summer market could be a big test for Bournemouth in their efforts to keep their best performers. After a season they have had under Andoni Iraola, top stars like Justin Kluivert, Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez are the ones attracting big attention, with the latter already on the radars of Liverpool and Juventus.
Liverpool have earmarked Kerkez as a key target to strengthen the left-back slot as Arne Slot is keen to move on from one of Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas. Kerkez has had a fantastic season with Bournemouth and will cost at least €45 million in the summer.
Liverpool have Antonee Robinson as an alternative to Kerkez, although they might prefer to sign the Hungarian over the Fulham full-back. The €45 million-rated Premier League wide man will be a key addition to Arne Slot’s plans, although the price might be prohibitive should the Cherries open the doors to a bidding war.
Liverpool are not keen to enter an auction for any player as they have had some bad experiences in the past with stars like Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo. Hence, they might want to deal with Bournemouth outright for the player, although Juventus’ entry into the chase complicates matters for the Reds.
Juventus to rival Liverpool for Milos Kerkez
Juventus are keen to enter the race for Kerkez, as they view the €45 million-rated Premier League wide man as a perfect replacement for Manchester City-linked Andrea Cambiaso. The important factor here is the relations between director Cristiano Guintoli and Kerkez’s agent, which could spark a twist in the race for the Bournemouth left-back.
Juventus will stake their claim in the run, and that could spell trouble for Liverpool. However, Arne Slot’s men may have an advantage in the race, as they could offer a guaranteed place as well as the chance to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles next season, which could sway this transfer in their favour.
