CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns created more salary cap space on Monday by designating defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson as a post-June 1 cut.
The move will save the Browns $6,411 on the cap, and they’ll have $5.042 million in dead money on the books in each of the next three seasons.
Tomlinson, 31, signed with the Browns as an unrestricted free agent from Minnesota in 2023, inking a four-year deal worth $57 million, including $27.5 million guaranteed.
Tomlinson played well over the past two seasons, but the Browns have younger and cheaper options at defensive tackle, including 2024 second-round pick Mike Hall out of Ohio State. The Browns expect Hall to play a bigger role this year.
