CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns made their first move of the legal tampering window on Monday, and it was for a quarterback.
They [acquired former Steelers first-round selection Kenny Pickett from the Eagles](https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2025/03/browns-acquire-kenny-pickett-in-a-trade-with-the-eagles-for-dorian-thompson-robinson-and-a-draft-pick.html) in exchange for Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a fifth-round pick via the Detroit Lions in the 2025 NFL Draft.
That pick was acquired from the Lions prior to last season’s trade deadline in exchange for Za’Darius Smith.
Pickett was drafted 20th overall by the Steelers in 2022. Despite starting 24 games in Pittsburgh, the Steelers moved him onto Philadelphia to be the backup to Jalen Hurts.
In his career, Pickett has completed 62.4% of his passes for 4,765 yards, 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
So what do you think about the trade for Pickett?
Do you like the trade because of Pickett’s potential value as a backup quarterback, especially if the Browns use the second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on a rookie QB?
Do you think the deal just made no sense at all?
Or does the trade mean little because he’s on the last year of his rookie deal and making just about $2.6 million? Let us know what you think in the poll above?
