KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justin Watson is heading to Houston.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Watson has agreed to a one-year deal with the Texans. The Penn alum joined the Chiefs as a free agent ahead of the 2022 season and spent three years with Kansas City after re-signing on a two-year deal prior to the 2023 season.
Watson, 29, will turn 30 in April. He helped the Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls and play in a third consecutive title game during his three seasons as a Chief.

In 50 career games with the Chefs, Watson totaled 64 receptions for 1,064 yards and 7 touchdowns. In 2024, Watson had 22 receptions for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He also won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, beating the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.
Watson’s departure is the second domino to fall in the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver room this offseason. Kansas City agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Hollywood Brown on Saturday.
