The Eagles have accepted an invite to the White House following their Super Bowl win - 'enthusiastically' so - according to a Trump official.
It was previously reported that the Eagles, who also skipped out on a visit with President Trump following their last championship in 2018, would be doing the same this time around.
But it was confirmed to CBS News Philadelphia on Monday that Philly would be making the trip after all, with an Eagles spokesperson adding that the franchise was in talks with the White House about a date.
Trump said last month that the Eagles would be receiving an invitation, though he added that had yet to happen at the time.
'I thought it was a great [Super Bowl] performance by them. Absolutely, they'll be extended that invitation... We'll do that right away. We're going to do it sometime today. They deserve to be down here and we hope to see them.'
